“…Someone is fervently praying for a spouse exactly like me?”
In your season of praying for a spouse, it’s so easy to forget that your future spouse is also longing, praying and asking God for YOU. I was reminded of this poignant truth today when I stumbled on “Dear Future wife,” a heartfelt song by Cade Thompson.
Like a whirlwind, the very first stanza hit me irresistibly: “I’ve been wishing, I’ve been waiting, I’ve been hoping, I’ve been praying, That you’re out there, Somewhere on this earth.”
How shortsighted of me to have imagined that my longing for a spouse was unrequited. How uplifting to reckon that, somewhere out there, someone is fervently praying for a spouse exactly like me! (and you?) Friends, it’s going to be a double answered prayers – yours and his/hers.
Psalm 107:9 “For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”
I have to admit though, when I meet my future husband, I plan on finding out who prayed and waited longer 😊. I’m pretty sure I’ll win and it will feel like a Nobel Price. Well, maybe not, but … you get the point. I’m just curious like that (lol).

At this point in time in my life, I don’t know who would be praying for me. 40, single, never been in a relationship, and there are no Christian women I know who are my age and unmarried.

Oh! That my God, EL ROI, will surprise you! And, yes, someone is definitely praying exactly for YOU! From one single to you – don’t despair. Psalms 42:11 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV). Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.🙏🏾
